Trying out a New Home Buying Plan
My friend always comes to me with ideas on how to make money, and I always fall for them. Sometimes they pay off, like that time I purchased some bit coins and sold them later for a higher value. Most of the time they don’t pay off and I’m left with a bad feeling and less money than I had before. He came to me with his latest idea months ago, which was about buying houses in Turkey and selling or renting them out to people for money. The idea in itself didn’t seem so bad, but I was curious why he wanted to do it in Turkey rather than any where else, like our home country. He said that high end houses would be cheaper to purchase in Turkey and we would be able to get a good return.
I thought about my friend’s plan for a few days, because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get mixed up in another one of his plans again. More often than not I’ve been put at a disadvantage by listening to him. The only way I would go along with his plan was if I had some kind of insurance in place. I told my friend that I would follow his plan if he could guarantee that I would get money from it, and if in the end I had less money than I started out with, he would have to pay me the difference so I could break even.
My friend reluctantly agreed and we bought a few houses in Turkey and rented them out to the residents. So far things have been going well for us. Not only did my friend’s plan work, but we gained enough profit to buy more properties for cheap and rent them out. It’s almost like a Turkish game of Monopoly.
